About Us

Find Balance Through Yoga

Yoga unites the mind, body, and soul in a way that eases tension, reduces inflammation, and promotes health and well being. Regular practice will help you reach, improve and perfect both your physical practice and mental strength. Core poses will help you correct posture and positioning, and improve your breathing and overall outlook on life.

Enhance Your Wellness

Yoga is a great way to improve your endurance in other physical activities. After a run, or heavy workout, yoga will help your body relax while stretching, strengthening, and lengthening the muscles you were just working on. Yoga not only helps improve your body, but also helps with mindfulness and meditation. It is important to take a break from daily life in order to focus on yourself and get clarity. Focusing on your breath during practice is key to staying in tune with your mind and body.

Yoga for Everyone

Benefits of yoga can be experienced from younger generations to older generations. The Yoga Collaborative partners with schools, community centers and corporations to provide meditation and private instructional classes to people of all backgrounds.

You have questions? Well, we've got answers!

I'm new to yoga and don't know anything.

Private instruction is a great way to learn about yoga one on one. Many of our clients are scared of entering into big classes with no experience or knowledge of yoga and fear embarrassment or feeling left out. Our instructors are great with working with new and experienced yogis and will cater your session to be the right fit for your level of learning.

Im concerned about my alignment and if I'm doing the poses correctly.

Even after several group classes you may question whether you are doing the poses correctly or if your alignment is correct. Private instruction offers that one on one time to connect with your instructor and ask questions instead of feeling lost in a big class setting.

I sit at a desk all day and need specific stretching to my poor alignment

Many of our clients work in an office setting and need postural support and stretching. Lower back pain is a common occurrence in individuals who sit for long periods of time. Private instruction gives you the opportunity to receive one on one care specific to your needs.

Do I need to already be flexible?

Yoga is the practice of becoming flexible. The overall goal is to create more flexibility within your body's boundaries. Through the continual practice of stretching, your body will naturally become more engaged and therefore flexible.

Do I need a mat?

We suggest the eventual purchase of your own personal mat but The Yoga Collaborative provides mats to use during your session.

Where can I receive private instruction?

We provide private instruction in-home spaces, in corporate work settings, in schools, on beaches and in parks. Please inquire whether your private setting is a right fit for the best potential results.
